Enjoy your time away and rest easy knowing that our experienced animal care staff is meeting your furry kid’s needs at Willow Run Kennels & Animal Clinic. You will be able to choose from several varieties of spacious, clean boarding accommodations and play sessions designed for your pet’s comfort and entertainment. We will be happy to help you make the choices that are best suited to the needs of your pet. The following accommodations and services are currently available to our boarders:

Climate Controlled Indoor/Outdoor Combination Runs
Our indoor/outdoor boarding facility is ideal for indoor dogs greater than 15 pounds. Painted with brightly colored murals, the indoor climate controlled area measures 4’ x 4’, and is where your dog’s food, water and bedding are kept. A guillotine door provides access to the outdoor patio portion, which measures 4’ X 8’ and is completely shaded for your pet’s comfort. This area allows for extra movement as well as providing a place for elimination. Music is played to help your dog relax and feel at home. A “Mutt Mat” bed for comfort, food, and plenty of fresh water are included in your boarding rate.

Outdoor Patio Runs
Our open air patio runs are designed for outdoor dogs greater than 25 pounds. Measuring 4’ X 9’, these runs are completely covered for shading and each run is equipped with a built-in raised sleeping area. Dogs on the patio also enjoy music provided for relaxation. A “Mutt Mat” bed, food and plenty of fresh water are included with your boarding rate.

Buck-a-Roo Bunkhouse
Available for smaller dogs, 20 pounds and under, our bunkhouse provides a relaxing stay away from the larger dogs. Your pet will be kept in a quite enclosure with plenty of room to move around. Three outside exercises or “potty breaks” are provided at no additional charge. A “Mutt Mat” bed and fresh water are available at all times. Your pet may be fed once or twice daily as you desire. Pets in the rainforest suites receive lots of love and human contact from our employees and volunteers as well as entertainment from music or television.

Feline Rainforest

Your furry feline will feel right at home in our feline rainforest. Your cat will be kept in a quite enclosure with plenty of privacy and room to move around. Each cat suite has a raised kitty cot with a quilted bed and litter box. We will also provide playtime for your kitty in our Rainforest Tree House, complete with interactive toys and multiple levels once daily at no additional charge. Music, television, and an entertaining aquarium are also provided to make you feline feel right at home.

Playtime Sessions
Our guests really enjoy our large grassy play areas and can be signed up for a variety of play sessions tailored to your dog’s activity level and needs.

• Flexi-lead walks
• Individual off-leash play (your pet must come back when called)
• Water play in small pools (seasonal)
• Toss ‘n fetch (play time with balls or Frisbees with our staff)
• Lovin’ & Brushin’ (great for older or calmer dogs/cats who crave attention and love to be brushed)
• Group play time (all participants must be temperament tested and approved for group play by our behavior specialist who provides the supervision during play time)

Snacktime:

Every afternoon the snack cart rools around offering peanutbutter kongs and hotdogs to our boarding guests

Parasite Policy
For the protection of your pet and all other animals within our facility, we are require that all animals that are dropped off for boarding, be treated for fleas with an oral flea preventative, Capstar. This small pill begins killing fleas within 30 minutes and lasts for 24-36 hours. The charge for this medication is $7.50, and any animal that is found with live fleas will also receive a topical flea medication (Frontline). The charge for frontline is $17.00-$22.00 depending on weight and species. Any pet that stays more than one night will receive a complimentary Capstar upon departure.  Pets that are on Comfortis, flea preventive or Trifexis, a combination oral flea preventive/heartworm preventive are exempt from purchasing Capstar.
