• Complete line of premium & prescription pet foods

General examinations:
Allow our veterinarian to examine all 12 systems of your pet’s body while our trained veterinary technicians provide you with a report on any abnormal findings along with doctor recommendations. After each exam we will send home an “exam report card” detailing the doctor’s findings and recommendations for any conditions that were abnormal.

Vaccinations:
We offer vaccinations for routine pet care as well as specialty vaccines for working/sporting dogs. We require all boarding dogs be vaccinated yearly for DHPPV (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, Para influenza)and rabies. We also recommend a biannual bordetella or kennel cough vaccination for dogs that board, attend playgroups or get groomed.  We also require that your fog be vaccinated for Canine Influenza.  This relatively new virus is can be spread rapidly before the infected dog is showing any clinical signs of the disease. We require cats to be vaccinated yearly for FVRCP (Feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus infection & panleukopenia or distemper) and rabies. We require biannual feline bordetella for cats that board or groom. We also offer vaccines for:
• Lyme disease
• Rattlesnake vaccine
• Feline Leukemia

Treatment of injury/illness:
During business hours we are always more then happy to see you’re pet if they become sick or injured. We recommend you call before coming in or while transporting your pet here so our staff can better prepare for you pet’s needs. We offer radiographs, in-house blood chemistry , sedation if needed, in-house pharmacy, pulse-ox, EKG and blood pressure monitoring. After business hours our voicemail and sign on our door directs you to I-20 Animal Hospital in Arlington, which is a 24 hour state of the art facility.

General surgery:
We offer routine surgeries such as spays, neuters, laceration repairs, tumor removals, dewclaw removals and declaws. For your pet’s safety, we require pre-anesthetic blood work prior to any surgery to eliminate any risk factors of placing your pet under general anesthesia. We use the safest anesthesia possible and monitor your pet’s vital signs throughout the procedure. Once your pet is awake you will receive a phone call letting you know how the procedure went and when you can pick him/her up. Some surgery patients may stay overnight for monitoring. For an estimate to have your pet spayed / neutered please call!

Specialty surgery:
Dr. Turner is able to come to our clinic and do ACL (cruciate) repair surgeries as well as other orthopedic procedures. Dr. Turner does hundreds of these surgeries each year and offers to come in and perform them in our clinic so you won’t have to take your pet elsewhere for surgery. For more information regarding specialty surgeries please call our clinic.

General dentistry:
Dental care is the key to lengthening your pet’s lifespan. Having your pets teeth cleaned regularly, along with using dental hygiene products will literally add years to your pet’s life. Tartar build up on your pet’s teeth leads to gum inflammation and gum inflammation allows bacteria to get into the blood stream, which can affect your pet’s heart, kidney and liver. Pets with bad teeth usually end up with heart murmurs/disease, kidney failure and more. Dental cleanings are done under general anesthesia and allow the pet to have their teeth scaled, polished and a fluoride treatment applied all in one appointment. Dentals are done Tuesday and Friday mornings and your pet can go home that afternoon.

Animal diet & nutrition consulting:
Providing your pet with proper nutrition and diet is important. Our veterinary staff will recommend to you during your examination which food would best suit your pet on what their ideal weight should be.

Complete line of premium & prescription pet food:
We offer Science Diet Healthy Advantage & Prescription diets for cats and dogs. We also carry Dogswell's Vitality Chicken and Oats receipe as wellas Dogswell's Shape UP. We also carry California Natural & Innova cat & dog food as well. The Innova and California Natural diets are all natural with few ingredients for those pets that may be sensitive or allergic. We always carry samples of the foods offered, so come on by to see what our staff recommends.
